D. Edward Sauer
President and CEO
The Bank at Broadmoor
D. Edward Sauer, a graduate of the University of Colorado Graduate School of
Banking has been President and CEO of The Bank at Broadmoor since 1990. Prior to
serving as President of the bank, Ed served as Executive Vice President. He is
also a member of the Board of Directors of The Bank at Broadmoor and a
shareholder of the Broadmoor Capital Corporation. |

Ed has been a resident of Colorado Springs since 1953, and he and his wife,
Linda have two sons and three grandsons. A banker in Colorado Springs since
1972, Ed has also been involved in many civic and banking organizations both
locally and regionally. His past affiliations include the Lodgers and Rental Car
Tax Advisory Commission to the Colorado Springs City Council, Chairman of the
Pikes Peak Highway Advisory Commission to the Colorado Springs City Council,
Chancellor’s Leadership Council at UCCS and Pikes Peak Crime Stoppers, among
many other organizations.
Currently, Ed serves on the Board of Directors of the Pikes Peak International
Hill Climb, the Mountain Post Historical Society, the Pikes Peak Range Riders, a
Life Member of the Pioneers Museum, the Westside Carnegie Library Board and
Chairman of the Manitou Springs Urban Renewal Authority. In addition, Ed was
named Chairman of The Colorado Bankers Association for 2009-2010 and served as
Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee.
As President and CEO, Ed stresses the importance of outstanding service leading
to long-term customer relationships. Many of these relationships have been
developed through community involvement, where Ed’s personal history of growing
up on the west side of Colorado Springs is evident.
